The lights are on
Activision has released three screenshots for the new Fast and the Furious: Showdown, set for a release May 21.
Players can compete in over 30 missions with fully customizable cars. The game also offers a Challenge mode and Co-op mode. It does not seem to offer Vin Diesel or Paul Walker, though.
Fast and the Furious: Showdown will be released on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U, PC and 3DS.
Interesting screenshots. I'll try it out! Hopefully a demo comes out for it.
i like the fast and furious movies but the game looks horrible
LOOKS LAME LIKE EVERY OTHER F&F GAME RELEASED. LOOKS ABOUT AS SWEET AS CRUISIN' USA DID BACK IN THE LATE 90'S.
So I guess it's just a straight-up driving game? The Franchise seems to lend itself to a good Sandbox Style GTA/Saint's Row Clone...but I guess I'm dreaming too hard. Though I will admit, Driver: San Francisco told a good story through just driving...but I'm not holding my breath for that to happen again.
Never heard of this before now, but now I realize that I totally didn't care anyway. . .
My god so crappy looking and taking every moment from the movies. >_>
Another budget racer from Activision and Firebrand, like NASCAR Unleashed. That's okay, I guess. Firebrand is quite experienced with racers - they've done some Need for Speed ports in the past, Trackmania for DS and Wii, and some other decent-but-not-great racers. At least they make arcadey racers that FEEL like arcadey racers; with more in common with Mario Kart and Sonic All Stars than the still-real-world-physics-heavy Need for Speed games, or Split/Second or Ridge Racer: Unbounded. I'd love to see what they could do with a proper budget and development schedule...
I hope they mean May 21, 2014 and not 2013. This game does not look ready.
