The lights are on
While rumors about the "features" of Microsoft's next generation hardware seem to be converging around one or two ideas (including a required internet connection at all times), the date at which we'll know for certain is a moving target. Last rumored to be taking place at the end of this month, the latest suspected timeframe for the announcement is at the end of May. The date was first stated by tech blogger Paul Thurott and echoed by The Verge.
If the May 21 date that Thurott and The Verge are standing behind is true, then the announcement will come only three weeks before Microsoft's E3 press conference. It also gives Sony a full three months to build hype for the PlayStation 4, which they've been taking advantage of quite well. We reached out for comment, but received the following (expected) response from a Microsoft spokesperson, "Microsoft does not comment on rumors or speculation."

I know it's all hearsay up to this point, but I have to admit I'm not digging the way Microsoft is handling business about it. Plus if the always online feature turns out to be accurate, then MS will have to provide a lot of very compelling features along with it.
Yay! Cant wait for another Halo, Gears of War and some kiddy Kinect games -_-
lol they probly realized the negative reaction to the "leaked" rumor of always on, and thought "s*** they hate it and wont buy it, get back to the office we have to fix this. no always on anymore as we planned" lol
I hope the always on is just a rumor.I just want concrete info so we can finally know what we will be getting and everyone can relax.
I'm surprised they're waiting that long. Whether these rumors are try or not they need to announce it asap.
I can't wait for an announcement on the new Xbox.
It's not looking good for em already.
ohhhh snap lol
I hope they aren't thinking this is building hype. They did mention that most people wouldn't even know about the PS4 event... So maybe they won't do one?
cant wait. ^_^ hope they actually announce it ...this time. Halo 5, and Destiny ftw.
3 more weeks.
