The lights are on
While Dean Hall works on the standalone version of DayZ – the online survival horror Arma 2 mod – there may be more in the works for the title.
Talking to The Escapist, Hall couldn't say anything definitive about a release on a console, but did say that he's met with Sony about the idea. "It appears to be the kind
of game that Sony are interested in," he said. "I think we just have to wait and
see. We've talked and met with Sony, and they're very – you know, they're obviously interested."
In general, Hall says that a console version is "almost certain," assuming the standalone PC version isn't a mess.
For more with Hall, including how the standalone version of DayZ will cutdown on hacking, check out the full interview over at The Escapist.

Microsoft will probably end up trying to moneygrab themselves straight out of business with the next Xbox. I'm excited about the PS4. I love my current PS3 way more than my old 360
Sony already taking the lead with third-party support..
I'm starting to think Sony is pulling out all the stops this time around.
Good on them for doing what is best for the gamer.
I hope that next-gen will bring us a lot more PC games onto consoles.
more and more Sony is impressing me...
That would be cool. On the other hand, the War Z better stay far, far away from consoles.
DayZ -> PS4
Make it happen.
Why did the picture on the main page look soo walking deadish?
I want a consol version! As long as it is in a box... with a disc.
I would LOVE it if they make it on console. I really don't care about the graphic I just want the online gameplay on consoles.
That's great! I hope it's for the PS4.
Bring DayZ to the ps4 plz, that would be icing on the cake.
hopefully mircosoft trys to gets their hands in on this!
Still got my fingers crossed for the XBOX 720!!!
I've had my eye on this for a while and was hoping for it to come to consoles so it's all good for me....I just hope it happens and sooner rather than later, just as long as it works good
They better keep it on the PC.
