The lights are on
While Dean Hall works on the standalone version of DayZ – the online survival horror Arma 2 mod – there may be more in the works for the title.
Talking to The Escapist, Hall couldn't say anything definitive about a release on a console, but did say that he's met with Sony about the idea. "It appears to be the kind
of game that Sony are interested in," he said. "I think we just have to wait and
see. We've talked and met with Sony, and they're very – you know, they're obviously interested."
In general, Hall says that a console version is "almost certain," assuming the standalone PC version isn't a mess.

I haven't had a chance to play a single drop of DayZ, but if it makes it to next gen somehow, that'd be great. Most of my friends are console-owners than PC-heads.
I hope for a decent, battlefield-esque console player cap!
Sounds pretty cool.
Now that would be pretty neat to see.
Lets see the "new pc version first because the older builds are ***.
I would be excited for this.
I'd love to see a Day Z version for next-gen. It seems like a nice fit, as long as Sony's online structure is well implemented for the game.
Not that surprising. Sony's finally realize the potential powerhouse of indie games they could use to sell their platforms with.
YESSS I've waiting for this announcement. Although my PC can handle the game probably two times over, I really, reaalllyy prefer these types of games on a console.
