The lights are on
Sony has filed a trademark application for something called Destiny of Spirits.
Gamespot has found the paperwork, which was filed on March 26. Naturally, the application itself doesn't shed any light on the term, other than that it applies to "Computer game software;
Electronic game software for handheld electronic devices; Video game software."
This could be a new IP for the PlayStation 4, DLC for some existing game, or perhaps something that may never materialize.
Email the author Matthew Kato, or follow on Twitter, and Game Informer.
It's a recycling game, no doubt. "Where bottles go when they dry out."
Let's hope for a new PS4 IP. I really want to see some new and awesome IP's for these next-gen consoles.
So we could know something about nothing?
Sony is always making "new" games. So not shocking.
Handheld electronic devices? Sounds like a Vita game
Hmm, I wonder what this could be...
I bet it's Uncharted-related. Uncharted: Destiny of Spirits is a good name.
Calling it now it's a new game
I hope it's a brand spanking new rpg. Until then i'll be pretending i'm awesome at third person shooters, and waiting for lightning returns and dark souls 2. Please dark souls make some headway and come out holiday 2013.
Oh, March 26th. At first I thought that this was some sort of April Fool's gag. In any case, patents don't necessarily amount to much if they decide to scrap the idea before making it.
People might be too wary of April Fool's. This hardly sounds like comedic material.
