The lights are on
At a behind closed doors meeting at GDC, Epic Games unveiled a new demo that shows off all the new features being integrated in the high-powered Unreal Engine 4.
The Infiltrator demo may look like a cutscene, but Epic showed us that it was running in the engine in real-time by cutting back and forth between the wireframe and the finished product. All the UE4 bells and whistles are apparent in the demo, including high dynamic range reflections, realistic lighting, abundant particle effects, and impressive destructibility. Check out the sci-fi spectacle for yourself here:
This is the second Unreal Engine 4 video Epic has released, the first being the Elemental demo. For a deeper dive into what makes Epic's engine of the future tick, read our in-depth feature from last July.
Now, if only Epic would show us a brand new next-gen game running on UE4 instead of a tech demo. We're ready when you are!

that was unreal lol get it waka waka
That would make a great game just saying.
Shame its only a tech demo. I'd buy that game.
Shame it's only a tech demo. That looked like it could be a pretty cool game.
Amazing! I'm hoping developers don't use the graphics as a crutch to forget about story.
well, now if only they can make A WHOLE GAME look like this and PLAY like this.
till then, ohhh pretty.
Everything looks good, but I really want to know if the textures and graphics look good close up. In a lot of games, it isn't as immersive when I see crappy textures close up. The animation is another big part for the storytelling
Was Samaritan not UE4? Looks pretty :)
This is what Prophet's dreams look like. :)
so porn is ok on this site?.i did not know.
Screw a tech demo, that needs to be a game **BRAAAHHHH**! That looks amazing, kinda metal gear solidish...
If only Elemental was turned into a game.
If they were to make a game out of every Unreal Engine demo, I would be a happy man.
