The lights are on
Atlus's much-loved RPG is getting the big-screen treatment
in its native Japan with Persona 3 The
Movie #1: Spring of Birth, due out this fall.
The anime production company behind the project, AIC
A.S.T.A., is known for its adaptation of Person 4 as well as GunxSword and
Blood+. Anime International Company, the parent organization, has produced an
absurd amount of anime from Bubblegum
Crisis to Ah! My Goddess.
Though the protagonist of Persona 4 has whatever name the
player assigns, the film's main character is named Makoto Yuki.
No word yet on whether the movie will eventually see a U.S.
release, but given the size and enthusiasm of the Persona fanbase the
likelihood of a fan translation following its Japanese release approaches 100
Wow, that's cool. Speaking of that...WHY HASN'T A SECOND LAYTON MOVIE BEEN MADE?! :P
YES! Been following this foreeeeeeeeeeeever! P3!
This seems pretty cool
I knew it was coming but I didn't know much about the animation company or the release window. I just hope they do this story justice by making at least 2 movies long which will probably happen judging by the#1 in the title.
Chances are, as with Persona 4 The Animation, this'll get localized for North America about 6 months to a year after it releases in Japan.
Can't wait to see this and here's hoping for an American release
on a related note the PSP version's of Persona 1, 2, and 3 are on sale for half off on PSN
The teaser trailer is awesome! I love Persona 3.
When I heard this news yesterday I was of the walls with excitement. Finally a release time-frame for the anime of one of my favorite games!
