The lights are on
According to an interview on videogamer.com with Battlefield 4's creative director, Lars Gustavsson, Battlefield 4 won't be coming to Wii U.
When asked if it was purely a business decision, or if was due to the technical limitations of Nintendo's console, Gustavsson said that it was more a matter or making sure the team could deliver a quality game without having to stretch themselves thin and spend time learning how to program on the Wii U.

are there really people out there who thought about the possibility? the wii u will never be supported by the big ones, the hardware is way to bad
Crwative director huh? Must not be a good one if its for battlefield.
Wow. EA is just being a jerk to Nintendo lately.
The *** WiiU is not a console. Multi-console releases do not release on the *** WiiU. Nintendo doesn't have a *** chance, and after the WiiU, we'll be playing Mario 64 2 on the *** Playstation 5. Nintendo could still be on top, but their refusal to have the bullocks to make any decisions that make *** sense are destroying their *** business. It's a *** game industry nightmare, you dirty pig!
Of course such a massive, next-gen game such as BF4 won't be coming to the border-line outdated, casual gaming machine that is the Wii. There would be little profit, a lot of effort, and less attention would be payed to the PC and Xbox 360/720 versions of the game.
This is especially emphasized when you realize that despite the Wii's relatively high sales, the number of people who play FPS on it are far and in between, forming a niche audience that is really not worth catering to. If you want title accessibility, get either an Xbox or a Play Station- or even better, a good PC.
And since when did people who were serious about gaming buy the Wii? It seems kinda ridiculous to get any serious gaming done on a Wii, as I said before. And anyone who seriously says that CoD or Blops is on the same level as BF3-4 is seriously mistaken. If you look at the consumer demographics, or even play both games, then it becomes obvious that most CoD players are pre-teen or early-teen kids, while the BF audience mostly consists of people 15+.
Also, the specs on the Wii really are lagging behind nearly every other popular console. And, when it comes down to it, the Wii really wasn't intended and isn't the best (or even a viable) choice for FPS games.
