The lights are on
Fans of open-world sandbox games will definitely want to check out Planet Explorers, an ambitious indie game currently seeking funding on Kickstarter. Developer Pathea has already done some amazing work on the game, which you can see in the video below.
Planet Explorers is an open-world voxel game that drops
players in a huge world full of towering alien creatures and varied
environments. In addition to being one of the prettiest voxel games we've seen
(thanks to what Pathea calls a "Marching Cubes" algorithm that creates smooth
terrain, as opposed to most blocky voxel games), Planet Explorers boasts a laundry list of promising features, including
a full story mode complete with RPG elements and sidequests, an Adventure Mode that
features randomly generated worlds, 4-player co-op, and the ability to create
your own custom structures, weapons, and even vehicles.
While Kickstarters often
promise potential donators the moon, Pathea has been working on the game for
over a year, and frequently releases free alphas of the game on its website – the impressive video
trailer below is actually from an older version of the game than the one
available online right now.
Pathea is looking to raise $100,000 to complete the game,
but has plenty of stretch goals in mind if more backers are interested. To find
out more about the project and to contribute, head over to the official Planet

I like sandbox/openworld games but this one, i don't know what to think of.
This looks truly amazing. The music is also quite epic!
This looks damn cool
Looks more like planet invaders...
I'm downloading the alpha now. If I like it, I'll try to back it as soon as possible.
This looks pretty cool, one step they should take to getting awareness is turning to greenlight on steam. I'll definitely buy this if it comes out.
I'm gonna try the alpha but my gut instinct is telling me this game is boring.
A bit too ambitious for a Kickstarter game, but of course anything can get done through Kickstarter. Which means we should see this be completed.
This looks amazing! If I had the money I would definitely fund it.
Bring it to consoles and I'm in.
he looks like jean ralphio
Downloaded the...alpha? Whatever it is, it's style is great. I love the creature and world design; it seems to be delightfully open-ended. The only thing is I keep spawning 40 feet above the ground and promptly falling to my death.
So I'll give 'em $5 to fix that.
I am so *** sick and tired of this game informer video player. Get over your pride or ambition or whatever it is keeping you from doing so and offer a freaking alternate youtube link.
I want to punch your website in the ***.
i really like the music
Exactly what i was looking for to get excited! This is my sort of game, big open worlds to explore, fighting for every scrap of food and territory and going out on strolls in dangerous caves. Yup i need more of this game. XD
