The lights are on
BioWare Edmonton – the studio that gave us the Mass Effect franchise – is working on a new game set in its own fictional universe.
According to IGN, at PAX East Casey Hudson, executive producer of the Mass Effect series, said that the studio is working on a new franchise and its attendant universe. Clearly, the studio hopes it will be a multi-game outing.
As for the Mass Effect series, it's currently being handled by BioWare Montreal.

I want to be excited and I'm sure it will a great new IP. Than the second game will come out with a lot less roleplaying and a lot more action and less dialogue. After that, the third game will be released with all action, less dialogue, and a tacked on multiplayer.
A new franchise is long overdue for the studio. After recent experiences with BioWare games, I'll wait for their titles to fall into the bargain bin.
That is great news
I hope they can keep hitting them out of the park. I'm excited to hear more about this!
Oh boy! what wonders lie in wait?
lets hope its good as me was
Mass Dragon Effect Age 4. ;-)
I'm glad to see they're branching out, and I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for it.
Bioware seems to know what it's doing so I'll allow it. Would still love a ME game based in the First Contact War or Akuze or Rachni Wars or any number of other time periods in the ME universe.
