The lights are on
Firaxis, the developer behind last year's XCOM: Enemey Unknown has announced that the game is coming to iPhone and iPad.
According to Firaxis, the game will basically be a direct port of the console and PC version of the game. No word on pricing just yet, or an exact release date yet, but it should be available this summer.
It certainly seems like a game that will translate well to a touch-screen. Head here to check out our review of XCOM.

What the heck? It should get ported to 3DS and Vita BEFORE iOS! Do they really think they're gonna make a huge profit by putting this on a iOS platform? I luv iOS games but I only download the FREE ones! I will never buy a iOS game that costs over 5 dollars!
This looks amazing... Touch controls are perfect for turn based strategy games. Now, if they would only bring it to the Vita, there would be the added option of using buttons in conjunction with touch... C'mon Firaxis!
I wonder how much it will cost
Any info on data consumption and price cost? Hopefully, that comes soon!
wow that's a brilliant idea. hands down this will be the best game on tablets now
NOW im jealous of iPhone users. Put it on google play store pleeeeeeeease
I didn't play this last year but I definitely will now that I can take it with me!
It would be a fantastic fit for the iPad. I'm still trying to plat the game on my ps3, but Ironman mode is just so brutal!
please come out for android and i will be so happy
Shooting aliens on the go!
Hmm. Interesting decision.
This reminds me that I still need to beat it on my console. I'll probably pick up this amazing game for my iPhone this summer.
