The lights are on
The indie game that implores you to “dig, fight, explore, build!” is now coming to consoles.
The PlayStation 3 version of Terraria releases in the US on March 26, with a European release “coming very, very soon.” Meanwhile, a global Xbox Live Arcade release is set for March 27.
As mentioned in a story last year, the console versions aren’t simply ports, and they will contain new content. If you’re interested in learning more about the game, one of our editors has a blog detailing his addiction to the action-adventure RPG.
I'm really looking forward to this - I've got a Mac so that's limited my ability to play to whenver I can get time at work on the PC, so this should be great!
Terraria is awesome. Anyone who enjoys the Minecraft style, but wants a more action/rpg like experience should try this out. Indeed, everyone should try this out.
I loved the game on the PC, and I'm disappointed that the updates aren't coming to that version, but now I can play split-screen online with friends and not worry about his server settings being all messed up.
Awesome. I've been waiting for this announcement. I'm ready to put another 300 hours into this game on XBox.
My friend got me interested in this game so I can't wait to play it on the 360.
I can't wait for this! I played this once on my friends computer, and I liked it a lot.
I've heard quite a bit about this game. I'll have to check it out now.
i've been looking forward to this! 'unfortunately,' bioshock will displace its being played for quite a while...
That's pretty awesome. I wanna try this game!
Hell ya during my Spring Break.
If and when this does come to PS3, you can be sure I'll check it out.
Woohoo!! I'm looking forward to picking this one up. I do have the game already but I'm looking forward to playing it with a controller.
how much moneys?
I want this on my Vita. This is yet another game that the Vita would be the perfect home for. I hope the devs consider this seriously.
God this needs to come out on the Vita!!
Getting it on the PS3, but would much rather have it on the go.
I've been following Terraria ever since it was announced to be coming to consoles a year ago. One of my friends is addicted to this game, and it looks great, though I haven't tried it yet myself. Playstation Plus will probably have this on sale when it releases, so I'll try to get it. But the First World Problem is, Bioshock Infinite and Slender: The Arrival release on the same day, AND Luigi's Mansion 2 releases this Sunday. I'm in for a busy week of ghost-busting, running from a thin humanoid ghost, exploring a massive city in the sky as well as grinding resources and levels while platforming over pixelated pits.
