The lights are on
After a year of delivering updates and content for Mass
Effect 3 multiplayer fans, BioWare has announced that they have reached the
end. However, the game's servers will remain indefinitely.
Mass Effect senior producer Jonathan Warner delivered the
news in a blog post:
My name is Jonathan Warner; I'm the Senior Producer on the
Mass Effect franchise. I joined the Mass Effect Team when we launched ME3
and our Multiplayer Service and it has been a wonderful, wild ride!
It has been our pleasure to run and support this service for
over a year now and provide the maps, kits, gear, and weapons that we all love.
I wanted to thank everyone who played Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer, and
participated in our challenges and events. You have made working on it a
After a solid year of dedicated service, we are now turning
our attention to new projects and endeavors, but Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer will
live on. Our challenge system and N7 HQ will be maintained and looked after.
Thank you again and we look forward to seeing you online!

Thanks for the amazing game Bioware! Its sad to know that you are done adding on to the multiplayer. the fact that they are keeping it maintained makes this news easier to take in. Good luck with future games!
i still want a mass effect rts game
It's sad to see the trilogy wind up, but I can't wait to see what Bioware does next.
Right on man. I love this series and the multiplayer is still pretty awesome.
it was fun. 25 dollar fun..but fun. may check it out when it hits 15 dollars again.
Mass Effect 3 had some of the best multiplayer support I've ever seen. I'm not saying that simply because it was free either.
They've released a ton, so I guess they deserve a break.
I wonder how long the servers will be online for. I really need to check it out a lot of the new stuff since I haven't played the multiplayer for several months.
I know its a month later since this article was written but I have to say I'm head over heels in love with Mass Effect. I believe this is only game I ever bought all the DLCs and really appreciated the multiplayer. Everytime I heard there was a new bounty I jumped on and played to my hearts content. It's also the first time I didn't have to worry about hackers or campers. (unless they were the cannibals.)
Citadel DLC was also amazing. I love how I can interact more with the characters then just get, "Hey Commander." or "Not now." Thank you EA. :]
Mass Effect is now one of the games I always recommend to my customers to play.:]
Also I think I'm the only one who didn't care too much about the ending. My Commander Shepard lived. ;]
