The lights are on
It’s the weekend again, and that means it’s time to unwind. Some editors will finally take a stab at the new Tomb Raider game. Others are going back in time to play some Super Nintendo greats, and a Dragon Ball Z role-playing game.
Jason Pfitzer: This weekend I will be trying my utmost to beat The Lion King for SNES. That, and I'm starting Chrono Trigger finally.
Ben Hanson: This weekend I'm going to continue playing Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm. The mission design remains fantastic and, despite dopey writing, I'm curious to see where the story goes. Other than that, I just checked out Dragon Ball Z: Attack of the Saiyans from our game vault. It's the DS RPG from Monolith Soft that I never finished. I’m looking forward to starting over and finishing it; the game feels like a great DBZ RPG for the SNES. Acronym. Have a good weekend!
Tim Turi: This weekend I’m putting aside my recent quests in Dead Space 3 and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance for Tomb Raider. I’m oddly fascinated by protagonists that get the crap kicked out of them but persevere (e.g. Die Hard, Die Hard 2, Die Hard with a Vengeance, Live free or Die Hard). I’m really digging the interesting environmental puzzles and experimentation-friendly combat.
Jeff Marchiafava: The Humble Bundle folks managed to get me to buy another mix of awesome indie games, so this weekend I’ll probably be playing more PC games. For someone who doesn’t own a decent gaming PC, I now have over 30 games on my Steam account. I’m ready to buy a Steam Box whenever you want to start selling them, Valve…
Louis Garcia: I am still recovering from illness, but I may be able to remain somewhat awake long enough to play some FIFA online. I’m sick of crushing defeats, but I’m in the soccer mood after missing so many pick-up games because of my virus, and watching a Minnesota United FC preseason match this week, as well as Champions League matches. I’m also going to be visualizing monster-smiting strategies in my head before Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate comes out for the Wii U next week. I bought my console the other week (getting a great deal I might add) just for this game.
Kyle Hilliard: All I’ve been wanting to do since I’ve started it, is play Tomb Raider. As a fan of the show Lost, platforming, and environmental physics puzzles, I just want to keep jumping back in. It’s the kind of game that has been forcing me to stay up past my bedtime. This weekend, I plan on playing as much as I can. Also, I guess I should hang some curtains in our new home, but that’s secondary!
Just passing time in Black Ops 2 and Pokemon Black 2 until Gears of War comes out on Tuesday.
Continue quest in platinuming Skyrim (7 more), and probably play something else. We will just see how it goes.
Probably Tomb Raider multi-player. If I feel I need to change it up I might finally finish either Bayonetta or Alice Madness Returns. If enough friends are playing Black Ops II, I may hop on that.
god of war ascension for me i am loving the game so far.and the multiplayer which i did not know if it was gonna be any good is awesome
Like many others have stated here in the comments, I too am going to be starting off my Spring Break by relaxing. Basically all next week will be my weekend actually. I want to catch up on some games I haven't been able to play, like Dead Space 3. I might possibly write some more for my blog... if I have time. And other stuff. Should be a fantastic weekend/break!
I got Tomb Raider a few days ago and thought it was awesome. I don't look forward to getting the multiplayer trophies, though. Since I finished that already, I have no idea what I'm going to be doing for the weekend other than yelling at my laptop for various reasons while playing Team Fortress 2.
Im rebelling against the weekend warrior system.
-Not playing games
-Not studying for midterms/hw
-Not watching tv
-Not moving (I feel like editors tend to move a lot here)
-Not hanging out with people
-Not enjoying spring break
Im putting a train horn on a pickup truck. Hell Yes.
Rock on Jason! Lion King SNES is pretty okay! Amazing visuals and wonderful animation, and a pretty decent adaptation of the movie. Plus, nice variety in the stages (the antelope/wildebeast canyon level is a precursor to all those "Run towards the camera" levels in games like Crash Bandicoot and Uncharted). But, like a lot of western-made platformers from the era, the level designs and polish just aren't there. The level designs are aimless and mazelike, and the art makes it hard to tell where the edges of platforms lie. Because of it, the game feels floaty and imprecise. But it's still fun. Good game to revisit every once in awhile.
God of War Ascension :D, Resident Evil 6 with a friend Ada Wong style lol, and watching Tomb Raider gameplay on Youtube and plan to draw the next week gonna be fun ^.^
Tomb Raider and BioShock in preparation for Infinite.
Playing some Team Fortress 2 along with God of War: Ascension to pass the time in between work and NASCAR this weekend.
This weekend I'm going to start Heart of the Swarm and Tomb Raider. I also want to finish the Vergil DLC for DMC, but I don't think I'll get to it.
Dead Space 3 this weekend, I'm gonna freakin finish it lol
Dead Space 3 and Mini Nijnjas.
I might play DMC for the first time or play Tomb Raider again or play Dead Space through from Dead Space Extraction to Dead space 3. I just don't know yet.
Im going to be spending the wk end playiing Sim City and most likely fire emblem awakening. Both games will keep me busy until Tuesday when Monster Hunter 3 for the 3ds arrives. And luckily for me I will have it shipped to so I won't have go somewhere to pick up. Have a great wk end everyone:)
I got projects to work on while I got the time but the Gears of War early access is probably going to steal all my planned time but I don't think that may be a bad thing.
I finally beat White 2! I'm probably will beat the Ice Cavern in my Ocarina playthrough, and maybe start Chrono Trigger. I will most likley play some LBP2.
End Game on BF3, getting pissed off at the complete lack of teamwork on all maps, in every gamemode. After that, I started up (finally) Dark Souls, so I can prepare to rage on that. If all else fails, then it's onto my computer for Civ IV (waiting for my new computer to come in so I can launch 5).
