The lights are on
Deep Silver revealed Saints Row IV to the world this morning, showing off a trailer for the game and providing an August release date. In the press release, the company said the game was coming out on current-generation consoles. We've gotten a bit of clarification on that item.
We asked Deep Silver if the Wii U counted as a current-gen console in their eyes, and got a solid "nope" in response. Nintendo fans can either take that as a compliment – they're in the next hardware generation already – or a slight. Regardless, they're going to have to sit this one out – at least for the foreseeable future.

Oh god no. Now I'm going to lose so much sleep over this
I despise WiiU, because looks current-Gen
and I still feel scammed by the Wii, every game played better with Gamecube Controls and graphics-wise looked like it could be played on gamecube,
That said from a Bussiness Stand point I think its stupid to Not-release Saints Row 4 for WiiU, it would had made a lot of profit, not because Saints Row is really that big but because Nintendo-Only fanboys would have bougth it like crazies, because they cant buy Grand Theft Auto V on Wii-U
that said I also think its really stupid to release a Grand-Theft Auto clone so damn near to Grand Theft Auto V, people are only going to be able to pick 1 of both and they will pick Grand Theft Auto V
Business is the name of the game unfortunately...
