The lights are on
Deep Silver revealed Saints Row IV to the world this morning, showing off a trailer for the game and providing an August release date. In the press release, the company said the game was coming out on current-generation consoles. We've gotten a bit of clarification on that item.
We asked Deep Silver if the Wii U counted as a current-gen console in their eyes, and got a solid "nope" in response. Nintendo fans can either take that as a compliment – they're in the next hardware generation already – or a slight. Regardless, they're going to have to sit this one out – at least for the foreseeable future.

This does not surprise me at all.
Ina way, Saint Rows doesn't seem like a type of game to be played on a family-oriented console like the WiiU. And even if that wasn't the case, the previous versions were never released on the Wii. As such....it isn't all that surprising.
And the Wii U Woes continue...
Can't say I'm surprised. The Wii U's audience probably doesn't care anyway.
And Nintendo still can't seem to attract good third party support.
not too suprising .. its fine tho , they probly tweaked their stuff from sr3 to make it in this time frame (i'd assume) and wii u being newer hardware ( or least platform) it would've taken longer ...that said while i like sr i don't need another 1 yet specially this year with gta5 coming
dats weak wii u gets no love huh? wii u need love too mann... wii u needs love too. lol
