The lights are on
Survival rates just got a little bit lower in Left 4 Dead 2 and Resident Evil 6: both games will feature crossovers from each other in their PC versions in the spring.
Valve’s first-person shooter will get enemies from Resident Evil 6; Capcom’s latest iteration in its horror franchise will receive Left 4 Dead 2’s four main characters in PC-exclusive mode Mercenaries No Mercy.
If that isn't enough, Resident Evil 6’s new mode will also feature the Witch and Mini Tank Special Infected characters to smite.
Players of Valve’s game will come face to face with Lepotitsa, Napad, and Ogroman. The characters were created using Steam Workshop tools, and fit seamlessly into the undead world.
“We’re huge Resident Evil fans, so when the opportunity arose to work directly with Capcom to combine L4D2 and RE6, we jumped at it,” says Valve’s Chet Faliszek.
Resident Evil 6’s new content will be free and available starting April 5. Left 4 Dead 2 players will get theirs for free this spring.
Things keeps getting better and better
Crossovers all the way!
really? only for pc??? that sucks, but damn good idea...
Sounds amazing! Can't wait to boot up L4D2 :)
I love hearing about stuff like this. This goes to show how game companies can work together, hope others can learn from this.
I like this idea a lot. Looks like I need to purchase both PC versions now just for this.
Cool beans... love Left for Dead 2
As long as L4D2 gets the enemies from RE6 that don't shoot back ..
What a strange but interesting article, I have L4D2 and since I was waiting so bad for the PC ver. of RE6 now I'm totally buying it! :D
was super excited till i found out that its pc only
Then I might half to get both lol :)
This is EXACTLY what Resident Evil needs: a kick in the ass by a currently superior Zombie Franchise.
Just learn to count to 3 valve! God!
awesome, look forward to some video of that.
