Resident Evil 6 And Left 4 Dead 2 Crossover Project Announced

by Louis Garcia on Mar 15, 2013 at 11:10 AM

Survival rates just got a little bit lower in Left 4 Dead 2 and Resident Evil 6: both games will feature crossovers from each other in their PC versions in the spring.

Valve’s first-person shooter will get enemies from Resident Evil 6; Capcom’s latest iteration in its horror franchise will receive Left 4 Dead 2’s four main characters in PC-exclusive mode Mercenaries No Mercy.

If that isn't enough, Resident Evil 6’s new mode will also feature the Witch and Mini Tank Special Infected characters to smite.

Players of Valve’s game will come face to face with Lepotitsa, Napad, and Ogroman. The characters were created using Steam Workshop tools, and fit seamlessly into the undead world.

“We’re huge Resident Evil fans, so when the opportunity arose to work directly with Capcom to combine L4D2 and RE6, we jumped at it,” says Valve’s Chet Faliszek.

Resident Evil 6’s new content will be free and available starting April 5. Left 4 Dead 2 players will get theirs for free this spring.
