The lights are on
Nintendo announced that Donkey Kong Country Returns would be coming to the 3DS sometime this year, and now we have a release date. What are you doing this May?
The official release date is May 24. Nintendo didn't have much else to add, so they provided the above image of a gorilla messing around with a Game Boy Advance SP. They're like a real-life version of Donkey Kong and his little buddy, Diddy, only about a million times more depressing to look at.
On the bright side, Dan had a great time with the game when it was released on Wii back in 2010. You can see his review over here.

I know a lot of you guys already noted it, but it's so obvious that is a DSi. Although this perfectly illustrates how I feel about the way GameInformer views handheld gaming. You don't know what you're talking about. Especially Dan's consistent erroneous view of the PSP as "a failure" and all those articles not too long ago about the 3DS being DOA.
It's cool that Nintendo is doing this, but I am more inclined to get a cheaper version of this game on the Wii, so that I can play it on a bigger screen.
Awesome! One of my favorite Wii games was Donkey Kong Country Returns, and now I can play it on my 3DS!
DK, Donkey Kong, DK, Donke Kong is here and is coming in May 24, great news, can't wait for it. :D
