The lights are on
The independent studio filed five trademark applications with
the government this week. Three have previously appeared in relation to its
upcoming sci-fi shooter Destiny.
Cabal and Vex are names of enemies in Destiny. Fallen has popped up in
marketing materials for the game. Hive and Glimmer sound kind of sci-fi, but
their possible relevance to Destiny is currently unknown.
Should the trademarks be granted, Bungie can use them for everything
from interactive game software to Halloween costumes and footwear.
Check out Kyle's huge feature detailing everything we know about
Destiny for more (sorry, no info about temporary tattoos or bobbleheads, which
are probably covered by upcoming Bungie trademarks we don't know about yet).
Can't wait to get all the info on Bungie's new epic.
Cabal is already the name of a game.
Sounds good. Bring it Bungie!
I don't want to know about names they've trademarked, I want to know more about the game itself.
MINE! MINE! MINE!
sheesh, get on with the gaming and it's core. the political and financial systems we all jump through is a global circus.
cant wait for the game but trademarking the words?? come on really?
I just want a seamless gameplay trailer
can't wait to see more!
Now we know the enemies...but not what kind of enemies they are....
Magic: the Gathering has been using Cabal for years now. Been using it ever since 1997... I don't see how they'll get away with trademarking that word.
