Battlefield 4 Announcement Coming March 26

Set your calendars to come back to GameInformer.com on the evening of March 26th for up-to-the-minute coverage of EA and DICE's impending Battlefield 4 announcement.

Lucky invitees will descend upon the AMC Metreon in San Francisco during GDC later this month for a presentation that we assume is the first look at the next installment of the successful shooter franchise, given the giant Battlefield 4 logo that adorns the invitation (pictured).

What are you hoping for out of the announcement?

  • WHOA!!!!!!!!!! AWESOME!!! What am I hoping for? A campaign with a great story and very balanced multiplayer!
  • 64 players on ps4 is what I'm hoping for.
  • I'm hoping they announce they weren't happy with campaign in Battlefield 3 and show us plans to have a story that is co-op and open; like multiplayer is.

As for multiplayer, I'm looking forward to more battlefield! Long shot hope, a map editor.
  • I'm hoping for better campaign, 64 player-capability for consoles, more vehicles and guns than BF3.
  • I'm hoping for giant cities with unlimited destruction. Fighting in an office building on the 20th floor, then having it fall and lean against another building while you're inside. Just wishful thinking..
  • Hope it turns out better than three. The graphics were the only thing it had going for it.
  • OMG...PS4 + BATTLEFIELD 4...AHHHHHHH 32v32 on consoles finally?!?!
  • Hopefully they don't change the sniping class too much from BF3, that's the main reason why I play this series.
  • How the hell am I gonna rsvp when you block out the contact info....thanks gi for being total weiners
  • I have to say that I actually hope this is next-gen only and not on current consoles. I don't feel like they could change the game enough to make me want to buy it if it were still on the PS3 and Xbox 360.
  • I love the BF series for it's slightly more realistic take on how guns shoot, how sniping works, how suppression works. But if this game isn't on next-gen AND doesn't have more than 24 players total on the maps count me out. I think even 16v16 would be nice but would greatly welcome 32v32

  • as long as they get rid of scope glare I will be happy
  • Awesome. I hope they expand to 64 on consoles and make it so I can kill people with the MAV again. Ah, memories...
  • get rid of the defib or at least balance it.
  • Personally, I never understood announcements for anouncements, but that's just me.
  • Split screen multiplayer. Also, a lot of varied map locations: Alcatraz, Tokyo, Beverly Hills, Houston International Airport, Las Vegas Strip, etc.
  • 3 just came out! How about you work on Mirrors Edge 2 first.
  • for it to be released on this gen wich im pretty sure will happen sense if u bought moh u get access to the beta, and 64 player console multiplayer would be awsome

  • I would actually just want better destruction than what BF3 had to offer. I mean, it looked nice, but you couldn't destroy nearly half as much of the environment as you could in BFBC2, so that's what I'm hoping for again.
  • I'm officially burned out on military shooters, and frankly I'm tired of half assed campaigns that just seem tacked onto the multiplayer in order to round out the $60 for the game.  Here's hoping that the next gen will bring a much needed change to the genre.
