Report: Capcom Cancels Mega Man Online

According to a report out of Korea, you can add Mega Man Online to the list of cancelled games in the franchise.

Kotaku has a report from Korean website This is Game which contains a statement from an official with the game's developer Neowiz that apparently says Capcom and the developer decided to drop the project last November. While it is believed that game was only intended for South Korea, fans can't like that there's another cancelled Mega Man game after Mega Man Legends 3 and Mega Man Universe.

I say reboot! In a graphics style similar to viewtiful joe/rayman/etc start giving us old school styled Mega Man games. We'd buy them, promise.

Capcom hates everything about themselves.

They need to get their *** together and maintain a *** game. It's one thing if money's an issue, but they find every other reason under the sun to drop a project. Are they in the Guinness book of world records yet for doing this so often?

Capcom has excellent games in Monster Hunter and Dragons Dogma, but their management of the Mega Man franchise would be much improved if they hired a rock.

Well this is annoying. Just when I start to enjoy Mega Man, Capcom is doing such a horrible job. They should stop making Resident Evil games and all that and make a really good Mega Man game that everyone will finally love again. There's this comment that makes me wonder what Capcom IS up to: "There are also a few other items we're cooking up that aren't quite ready to be revealed, either because the deals aren't done or we don't have something specific to show. But the moment we do, it'll be right here." Um seriously? Who the hell didn't see this coming? I mean Capcom is trying to re create a franchise that doesn't need a spiced up formula.All they have to do really is add an interesting story, add in new robots and BAM! The formula has worked for so many years, why change something that isn't broken?
