The lights are on
Payday: The Heist, the cooperative bank robbery first-person shooter, is
getting a sequel, and it's coming to more than just PC and PlayStation 3 this time around.
Developer Overkill Software, joined Starbreeze last year, giving them more resources to spread its game around. Payday 2 is coming to Xbox 360, something the original game couldn't claim.
In Payday 2, players will have access to the CrimeNet, which means there will be more jobs will be available, and you will be able to level up your character with earned cash. For more on the game, check out our full preview by clicking here.
The game will be available this Summer, but Overkill isn't ready to set an exact date.

This game needed a sequel?
Good. The first game was a ton of fun, but it could certainly have used some polish. Namely, better shooting mechanics (they were decent, but not great) and faster leveling up. Not too much faster, but eve fairly early in the various skill trees, I would have to grind out several heists just to level up.
If it's 20 bucks again i'll get it.
holding up the baphomet handsign. Wow developers your so edgy and underground. And that right there is why i never contimplaited buying the first payday
Excellent. The first game was pretty underrated.
Was about to buy the first one last week but I guess I'll just wait now, the first one looks pretty fun.
First game was a blast. Hope this one is too.
Awesome. I've been wanting to play this for a while.
Can anyone confirm if this will be a full retail release or PSN/XBLA?
SWEET. Never played the first game before, but after watching a lot of youtube commentators, I just wanted to play it SO BAD. It looked like a lot of fun to me, so I just might have to give it a go, now that it's on 360 this time around.
First one is pretty solid, I still play it. Well worth the 20 bucks. The second one sounds good already, and I'd love to play it with my friend.
