The lights are on
Maxis general manager Lucy Bradshaw says that SimCity's launch problems are close to being over.
In an email, Bradshaw says: "I had hoped to issue an 'All-Clear' tonight, but there are still some elements coming together. Tonight and tomorrow we'll be monitoring each server and gameplay metrics to ensure that the service remains strong and game is playing great. We need a few more days of data before we can assure you that the problem is completely solved and the game is running at 100 percent."
Apart from working on the problem, Maxis and EA have been offering players a free downloadable game for their troubles.

Hope that includes Cheetah Speed's Return
That's great news!!
Wow, so many problems. Did any one expect this launch to go well, honestly?
that damage is already done , i hope in the future they and other companies are less stupid.
Yay!
It's still insulting how bad this game got at launch. EA sure as hell had better learned their lesson, if they pull that always online DRM *** again they deserve every bit of flak they get. It's funny when the actual DEVELOPERS don't want always online DRM but EA forces it on them anyway.
