The lights are on
The year is still young, but we've already seen a handful of amazing games release within it. The notable titles include DmC: Devil May Cry, Tomb Raider, Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, Fire Emblem: Awakening, Dead Space 3, Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, Crysis 3, SimCity: Castlevania: Mirror of Fate, and Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time.
If you are looking at that list thinking, "I need to get my ass in gear and play some of these games," let me remind you that God of War: Ascension and StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm release tomorrow. Gears of war: Judgment and BioShock Infinite are just around the corner.
Of the games you've had the time to play, what is your early Game of the Year so far? I had a blast finishing Tomb Raider this weekend, but Lara's return falls just short of my current Game of the Year frontrunner, Ni no Kuni. This JRPG hits all of the right notes for me. It's charming as all get out and I love how the story unfolds. I'm currently obsessing over the game's bounty hunts.

I haven't played anything that originally released this year. Can the Wii U Virtual Console release of F-Zero count?
If I had to go with games released already it would definitely be Ni No Kuni. I also loved Fire Emblem, Castlevania: LoS - MoF, and DmC. All I know is, God of War is out tomorrow and Bioshock Infinite is out two weeks after that, so that's all I'm looking forward to.
Hands down it's Tomb Raider, followed by Dead Space 3 and DmC.
It is DmC up to this point for me. Tomb Raider just wasn't enough for me personally. HotS is out tomorrow and GoWJ is next week so we will see..
As of this post, maybe DMC.
I have yet to play a newly released game this year, but I have hyperdimension neptunia V and dead island riptide on pre-order, and they're looking like good candidates
