Team Meat Uninterested In Console Development

by Kayla Herrera on Mar 08, 2013 at 11:36 AM

Team Meat, creators of the popular indie franchise Super Meat Boy, say they are not interested in console development.

"When you look at the stress that comes with Steam and iOS and the Google Play store, you look at those and you look at which hoops you'd have to jump through to get on any one of the consoles, it's like, 'Is this worth the time? Is this worth the headache?'" Team Meat's Tommy Refenes told Eurogamer.

Edmund McMillen of Team Meat is releasing a bundle that includes his early games and Indie Game The Movie through Merge Games with a $2 discount, bringing the total to $17.99. Team Meat is not working on an upcoming Super Meat Boy game, rather they are releasing a new upcoming game, Mew-Genics, a game drowning in narcoleptic cats.
