Far Cry 3 Patch Resets Enemies And Ramps Up Difficulty

by Louis Garcia on Mar 06, 2013 at 06:23 AM

Far Cry 3 – a game that lets you sneak around outposts like a deadly animal, only to be pounced on by a real one – receives a plethora of changes in today’s update.

In single player, liberated enemy outposts can now be reset and recaptured after finishing the game. The story mode can also be replayed on the master difficulty, and a new HUD allows players to hide on-screen information for a clearer view of the jungle islands.

The patch’s improvements for multiplayer include a map beta test, meaning players can publish uploaded maps as a beta test to see how it is utilized by players before releasing it. You can also search through all maps created by a single author. In terms of making matches better, there is now more time to cast a vote for the map you want to play on, and idle players won’t be kicked from custom and private matches.

The patch is live today for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
