The lights are on
Last month, Sony introduced a new color for the Playstation Vita and dropped the price to 19,980 Yen (translating to $215). It turned out to be a good move for the publisher, as sales for the system nearly quadrupled after the February 28 price drop.
It's a nice stat for Sony, but they still haven't announced any plans to change the pricing here in North America.

I'm honestly not surprised by this. The Vita has gotten a lot of criticism, some deserved, but it's still an amazing handheld. The biggest problem with sells was the high price, but if you drop it down to $200, which is more reasonable, I bet sells in the U.S. would sky rocket like in Japan. And now that they said that the Vita will be able to play PS4 games on the move, kinda like how the Wii U does it, it's even more impressive. I'll definitely be getting one when the price drop hits America.
North America is REALLY where they should be dropping the price...
