The lights are on
Rovio, creator of the famed mobile app Angry Birds, is teaming up with Dreamworks to develop a video game based on the upcoming animated film, The Croods.
The game is going to be similar to the gameplay of Zynga’s Farmville where you must set traps to catch prehistoric animals -- basically a simulation of prehistoric living. The animals you capture can also be leveled up and used to catch other creatures.
The Croods game will be free and is set to release in the next couple of weeks to the Apple App Store, Google Play and for the Kindle Fire. Check out the sneak peek trailer below and visit the Rovio website for more information.
My little sister really wants to see that movie...
Well its free so you can't really say anything against it. Its not like you're wasting your money if you try it and hate it.
I've never even heard of this.
No surprise movie license games continue to suck. And whatever this Croods thing is, is surely going to sound like a sucky movie. NOTHING WILL BEAT THE DARK KNIGHT RISES!!!!! NOTHIIIIIIIING!!!!!
I wasn't aware this was a thing.
I'm sure that trailer is far better than the game will be, though.
Um. I'll pass.
I'm looking forward to seeing the movie. I was about to call this game a joke BUT it is free so I'll shut up.
Looks like one ogf those evil free to play games
It looks like the old LucasArts Zelda-like adventure, Herc's Adventure. Man, that was an oddly fun game. Still haven't seen a game do a better job with picking up sheep and throwing them.
Anyway, good that no one's wasting too much time and energy on a proper game adaptation for this. I don't know enough about the Croods to judge it much, but I'm PRETTY sure there's not enough of that universe there to base a fully featured game production on.
Yeah, this movie looks incredibly stupid.
