The lights are on
The video for Compulsion Games' upcoming indie project shows off its fascinating approach to light and shadow.
We’ve had our eye on Contrast since its announcement early last year. The new game from developer Compulsion Games allows players to leap into and out of shadows as they complete platforming levels that are all part of a noir-style mystery in a stylized setting of the early 20th century urban Jazz scene.
“Contrast will transport players into a vaudevillian world of shadows and mysteries, where story elements are discovered through the manipulation of light, and it introduces new gameplay paradigms for interacting and navigating the world,” says creative director Guillaume Provost.
Contrast will be on display and available for hands-on play at PAX East in March. What do you think of the shadowy art style on display in the new trailer below? Share your thoughts in the comments.

That girls arm looks like a giant p**** chasing the man.
Once seen, it cannot be unseen...
Simple..but very interesting.
Simple, but nice.
That looked absolutely fascinating. I may buy it just for the soundtrack
Lost in Shadow was a really solid title. I'm pretty excited to play this game.
Looking good so far. I'm really digging the music style
This kinda game would be amazing on 3DS and Vita.
