The lights are on
Metro: Last Light was originally slated to come out this month, but the game was delayed. It's understandable, considering the upheaval that surrounded the game's development, including the collapse of publisher THQ. Now its new publisher, Deep Silver, has announced that the game is coming out this May.
More specifically, Artyom will continue his subterranean adventures on May 14 in North America, and the rest of the world starting May 17. Publisher Deep Silver says the additional time will go toward adding an additional layer of polish. When developer 4A Games came to our offices a few months ago, they were quite vocal about THQ not providing the studio with the time and resources they needed to optimize the game in its final stretch. Here's hoping their relationship with Deep Silver works better for everyone.

This is great news. No rush needed. I'm just happy it's still coming out.
I don't get excited about too many games, but this one has got my attention. Between this and Remember Me, I think I'll be set for the summer.
I have mixed feelings about this, I love that they are taking the time to release a more polished version of the game, but I really want to get my hands on Metro: Last Light because the first one was so amazing. But I guess I can wait another two months knowing that it will be all the better when it is released.
YAY!!! Happiness only!!!
Glad this one is coming to PS3 :)
will be picking this up eventually.
This is great news! May 14 sounds perfect.
Good, I might actually be able to purchase it on release now. This game really deserves the extra time and effort because it can be so much. I was one of those people who loved Metro 2033 even before it was released. I hope that they decide to offer some real collectors editions of the game. The last one received some really cool stuff like a backpack in Europe, but in North America we didn't receive much. I know it would please a lot of fans if we got the opportunity to show our support by purchasing an edition that offered some nice trinkets. I really hope this game reaches it's full potential!
Nice to see a THQ game get released post publisher-closure. Here's hoping Deep Silver can crank out a hit... and here's hoping the Metro sequel is a stronger game than it's predecessor.
