The lights are on
Founder and CEO Brad Hunstable declared that the video
streaming service will not be exclusive to Sony's PS4 in the console
Speaking with IGN, Hunstable flatly denied any possibility
of Ustream entering into any kind of exclusive relationship with Sony while
declining to offer any confirmation of other possible partners. "There's
nothing specific I can talk about today," Hunstable answered when IGN asked
about Wii U and the next Xbox platform.
Hunstable may not have had anything to announce,
but the obvious assumption is that we'll see Ustream at Microsoft's upcoming
event, presumed to be the next-generation Xbox reveal.
Hmmm. . . That almost means, by default of corporate talk, "Heck yeah for Wii U and X-Box 720." It seems pretty unlikely for the Wii U to bother, but that's almost a guarantee for the 720, in my mind.
But Xbox is working on an app on the 360 for Twitch, Why would it want to go to the inferior UStream as well?
More like 'WESCREAM' with joy. ;-)
What the hell is Ustream?
I'm not too surprised, but am happy to see consoles internally including this feature now.
