The lights are on
The next big-budget Castlevania game doesn't quite have enough financial muscle behind it to make it onto Nintendo's latest console, according to publisher Konami.
Speaking with Eurogamer, Konami producer Dave Cox said that the extra budget and need to add around 20 people to developer MercurySteam make a Wii U port infeasible for the moment.
"Game development is about managing resources," Cox told Eurogamer. "You say to yourself, can I take on another 20 people? It's just a nightmare to manage at this point. That's the only reason why we're not doing any other formats."
Cox didn't rule out a future Wii U port, but at launch the game will only appear on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.

Well, at the very least it will prevent it from getting delayed to everyone.
now that sucks
A shame to hear. Hopefully after launch it can get ported to the Wii U so those gamers can enjoy this game.
Well, this is unnecessarily negative. Lords of Shadow 2 was never planned or even rumored to be on Wii U, so it's not surprising that it isn't going to make it to the system.
If it does well, there's a good chance it'll get ported.
I will get this game on PS3 but for those that only have a wii u this ducks. I wanted to buy a wii u but decided to wait and as things are looking I will totally skip the wii u and buy the PS4.
thats sad but understandable
That's sad news. After playing the demo of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate, I would've probably bought Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 if it was going to release on the Wii U. At least I could play it on my PC if it comes to Steam! :D
