Ask Us Your Witcher 3 Questions

If it's within our power to answer, we'll go into exhaustive detail on any topic you're interested in about CD Projekt RED's upcoming next-gen open-world RPG.

No matter how long our cover story got, there's no way we could shove every detail we'd learned about The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt during our two-day visit to the studio in Warsaw, Poland. We'll shed as much additional light on anything you want to know in a podcast later this week, provided you leave your question in the comments below.

Fair warning: if you ask something that was covered in the huge twelve-page story in the latest issue of Game Informer, the only answer you're likely to get in the podcast is mockery for not doing the reading ahead of time. "How does monster slaying fit into the overarching questlines of the world and Geralt's struggle against the Wild Hunt" is a great question. "What do I get for slaying monsters" is not, since it was covered in great detail in the magazine previously.

Look for the podcast later this week. You may have the pleasure of hearing me try to pronounce your screen name!

  • The first Witcher felt alot more like the books than the 2nd game did, and while I loved them both dearly, I was simply wondering if The 3rd one will play like the books read. Do you guys have any indication if this one, while innovating the series, will in a way go back to its roots by paying homage to the books in the way Geralt's story goes and gameplay? Thanks for your time, and looking forward to this game so much!
  • Why does Geralt get laid so much? Do you guys know if our choices in The Witcher 2 will carry over cross-generation/at all? I know they took some choices from Witcher 1 to 2 for PC, but how will that work Xbox 360 - Nextbox wise?

  • With the Major boost to RAM from the PS4 (and hopefully the new xbox) are they going to be able to do more with the AI's and other creative things other then just a bigger world and better graphics? Such as AI's really interacting with each other and responding to changes in the environment and story?
  • will there be random encounters on the map or will it be more like dragons dogma?
  • Will the Arena mode from The Witcher 2:Enhanced Edition be returning in any form? It seemed a little "Tacked-On", but it was fun nevertheless. I would love to see it improved for the Witcher 3.
  • 1)What will be the status of secondary characters like Dandelion,Roche and Zoltan? 2) Will they play the same level of role as in Witcher 2? 3) How much or less will the load times be in such an open world game?
