by Matt Helgeson on Feb 26, 2013 at 07:29 AM

[Update] More information and some blurry screenshots, via Examiner.com, have surfaced on Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag.

To see the new images, you can click over to Examiner's original story. The site also posted some new information about the game, including this:

"The main characters name is Edward Kenway, father of Haytham Kenway from Assassin's Creed 3. Edward is known as a Privateer, Assassin and occasional pirate. The games location is set in the Caribbean on multiple islands including Jamaica, Cuba and the Bahamas."

Original Story:

Website Kotaku has published a report and a promotional image regarding the next Assassin's Creed game, which is to be titled Assassin's Creed: Black Flag and will deal with pirates.

Kotaku says they received a scan of a promotional poster for the game from a tipster. To see the image, head over to Kotaku's original story. According to the report, the poster will be in stores on March 4. The image shows a white-hooded assassin fighting alongside a stereotypical pirate.

(By the way, in case you are NOT PUNK, that's not the game's official logo, just a little fun I had with Pixlr and the iconic Black Flag band logo).
