Munch On Elder Scrolls Inspired Food At SXSW 2013

by Louis Garcia on Feb 26, 2013 at 07:10 AM

The Elder Scrolls series is known for its breathtaking worlds and expansive role-playing game options, but now it may be known for something more: grilled cheese.

A food truck for The Elder Scrolls Online will be at SXSW (South by Southwest Conferences and Festivals) 2013 to serve free food and provide giveaways to fans of the role-playing game series. On the menu is Pressed Eidarmelt, a Nordic Jarlsberg grilled cheese sandwich, with the choice of three dipping sauces: Fire Petal Dip (spicy, homemade marinara sauce), Emperor’s Garden (Chef’s special pesto), or Tomato-Mammoth (classic Bolognese).

In addition to sandwiches, hungry fans can get Tangy Ninroot (pickles), Corkbulb Crisps (kettle chips), and Alocasia Fruit Juice (fruit punch spritzer).

Singer and composer Malukah, made popular via a YouTube cover of The Dragonborn Comes Skyrim theme, will debut a new song at noon during the March 10 event taking place from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. CST.

The interactive focus of SXSW 2013 takes place in Austin, Texas on March 8-12. You can follow the food truck happenings on Facebook or on Twitter via the #ESOFoodtruck hashtag. The food truck's 11 destinations for the year are listed below.
