The lights are on
Among a number of additions and updates to the franchise, Blizzard says Diablo III will not need to have a continuous connection to the internet for multiplayer on PS3 and PS4. The game will allow for online co-op and local co-op.
"You can have four people on the same screen - no split-screen, we just zoom the camera out. Or if you're offline," says production director John Hight.
Hight mentions a new evasion capability that can be used to dodge enemies and no longer do players need to click and move. With the ease of an analog stick, movement will be smoother, which heightens the action.
Blizzard will be showcasing the console version of Diablo III at Pax East 2013, which will include live, hands-on gameplay. You can watch the full interview here.

Blizzard has been *** since WarCraft3. Starcraft 2 was good but nothing amazing and Diablo 3 is nothing less then the biggest fail on PC history.
Honestly, the people waiting for this game on console are idiots.
That much was obvious as soon as they announced it.
I figured this would be the case anyhow, as there's not a lot of reason to have DRM on a console.
PC gamers are too blind to see that popular PC games get stolen in the millions. You try and steal a couple million copies of a game and see how they react.
Holy crap Blizzard. Now you're just trolling.
SWEET!!
OoO I. Must. PLAY!
That's nice, what about offline play on PC?
I hope this fails terribly, they swindled me outa $60
Nice move for them, but I already have this on PC and could care less about a console version. To me, this game is made to be played with the keyboard and mouse, but I'm sure they could tweak the controls to make them decent. I also really wasn't that impressed with it either, maybe my expectations were too high due to Diablo 2 idk. My character really didn't feel like MY character like it did it past games.
I going to Pax East! Yay!
Cool. I wonder how it'll be on the console.
I had a feeling this was going to happen. More than a few PC gamers will be irked by this.
