The lights are on
Developer Bugbear Entertainment has developed a number of racing games over the years, including Ridge Racer Unbounded and Sega Rally Revo, but with the release of Sony's PS4 we might see a return of its stunt racing series FlatOut.
We haven't see much of FlatOut since 2007's FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage, but Bugbear recently released this trailer for a new racing game using real-time, in-game footage. Could this been the return of FlatOut, or as Destructiod ponders, Destruction Derby? Check out the trailer below to begin speculating.

that looks painful
Sega Rally Revo was done by Sega Racing studio, a great developer assembled just for that game, then closed down because Sega was stupid. I think Sumo Digital did a "Sega Rally Revo Arcade" or something - they do a lot of sega's racing games now - but I can't find any trace of such a game on the PSN. Weird.
Anyway, Ridge Racer Unbounded was fantastic. A horrible Ridge Racer game, but great in it's own right. I'm looking forward to more destruction from these guys! I'm much more pumped for FUN racers than stuff like DriveClub...

Would be pretty awesome to have.
If it's these guys making it, I'm cool with that. I remember I played a FlatOut 3 that came out within the last few years on Windows. All I have to say, it was awful.
I loved that game
Looks impressive and fun - I hope it's a new Destruction Derby! But Bugbear, I beg of you; don't be afraid of color! Remove whatever filter you have going on that desaturates the picture in the name of "realism". Chasing reality is a misguided thing at best. Make your game POP, guys! It's about crashing cars! It should look fun and exciting.
Beyond that, love what I'm seeing.
Whatever this is, It looks great. A really good destruction derby type game hasnt released in a while and this looks like it will scratch that itch, whenever it comes out that is.
I like what I saw in that trailer, but will wait for more info.
there was a flatout 3, PC exclusive....not made by bugbear...team 6 I think. came out tail end of 2011, early 2012
