The lights are on
Nintendo didn’t attend Gamescom last year, missing out on Europe’s biggest gaming trade show, but it is returning to this year.
"Nintendo's return is an absolute highlight for our community, exhibitors and trade visitors from around the world,” Gamescom project manager Tim Endres told Gamesindustry. “We are also in very promising talks with other key players in the industry with regard to Gamescom 2013.”
Nintendo will be joined by a plethora of other developers including Bethesda Softworks, Konami, Riot Games, and Ubisoft, just to name a few.
Gamescom takes place on August 21 in Cologne, Germany.
Good. They need to market the Wii U any positive way they can.
Sweeet. I wish I could go...
Way to get back in it, Nintendo.
It would be a huge mistake to not be there.
Why do the Germans get to have all the fun?!?! D:
Ahhh good. No doubt they actually have a lot of stuff to show off this year.
Awesome. It was missed last year.
yay! this time!
Probably a good idea to attend a big event.
With an estimated sale of only 100,000 Wii Us between the US and Europe alone, you bet your bum that they'll need to be at every event they can squeeze into and then some.
