[Update] Blizzard has announced ticket prices and sales information for the upcoming convention.

According to a press release sent out today, BlizzCon 2013 tickets will go on sale for $175 each at the convention's official website. Ticket sales will begin on Wednesday, April 24 at 7 p.m. Pacific time. A second batch of tickets will be released for sale on Saturday, April 27 at 10 a.m. Pacific time. In addition, Blizzard will be selling tickets to a special BlizzCon Benefit Dinner (which occurs the evening of November 8) on Wednesday, May 8 at 7 p.m. Pacific time. This dinner will give ticket-holders the chance to hang out with the Blizzard staff. All proceeds raised from ticket sales to the dinner will go to the Children's Hospital of Orange County.

Blizzard put its annual convention on ice last year to focus on game development, but it’s back in 2013. This year BlizzCon takes place in Anaheim, California November 8 and 9.

Attendees can look forward to StarCraft, Diablo, and Warcraft eSports competitions along with a chance to check out the companies’ latest offerings. Hopefully Blizzard will announce some new titles to look forward to in the coming years. Perhaps the confirmed MMO successor to World of Warcraft?

Ticket details will be available in the near future.

I wonder how many people will eschew going now? I was under the impression that a large chunk of their fan base had called it quits because of their disappointment with Diablo 3. Mind you, I'm not into any of Blizzard's franchises, so I know nothing definitive--just a feeling based on what I've read here in articles and forums.

this is the first blizzcon i am not excited about. d3 is already out, WoW is a dinosaur, starcraft is not for me. maybe Titan, just maybe.

Never plaed any of thier games, StarCraft and diablo have been on my radar and WOW just dosnt intrest me at all

And is it just me or is the Tomb Raider add that pops up every 5 seconds getting anoyying or am i the only one its doing it to

I love how they ditched it cuz Diablo 3 was gonna suck and now are gonna hint @ Titan so the whole Diablo 3 being terrible thing jus blows over. Business 101, Blizzard.... ur good.
