The lights are on
Aliens: Colonial Marines has been generally labeled a failure by critics. One of the game’s shortcomings is the way the popular alien Xenomorphs are animated. In short: they look terribly laughable as they meander around. Too bad Obsidian's Aliens-themed role-playing game was canceled, because they got it right.
Developer Obsidian's Aliens-themed role-playing game named Aliens: Crucible was recently cancelled, but a video released by character animator Danny Garnett shows that its aliens performed all the stalking, swiping, and generally creepy movements becoming of a proper Xenomorph.
Watch the video below to see how Obsidian’s animations were shaping up:

There should be a side by side comparison video of these animations and Aliens:Colonial Marines.
what a drag bro....
um..ok still better then the colonial marines game
Why was this game cancelled again?
Nice job, Mr. Garnett. I hope someone picks you up for a new Aliens game.
I'm curious & am really wishfully thinking here but what if the failure of Aliens: Colonial Marines will make somebody (whether it may be a super fan or another company) motivated enough to the point of remaking this game their way in a way of redeeming the name of Aliens because we so badly want it? Like making a point of "this is how it's really done". You had your chance now here's ours kind of deal.
An example comes to mind with the 2003 Hulk movie with Eric Bana but then in 2008 The Incredible Hulk with Edward Norton releases & ends up being the better of the 2 (in my opinion).
One can wish.
I'm wanting to buy Aliens: Colonial Marines just to see how bad it is.
ahhhh!! Why'd they cancel?? This sounds like an awesome idea!!!
