The lights are on
Aliens: Colonial Marines has been generally labeled a failure by critics. One of the game’s shortcomings is the way the popular alien Xenomorphs are animated. In short: they look terribly laughable as they meander around. Too bad Obsidian's Aliens-themed role-playing game was canceled, because they got it right.
Developer Obsidian's Aliens-themed role-playing game named Aliens: Crucible was recently cancelled, but a video released by character animator Danny Garnett shows that its aliens performed all the stalking, swiping, and generally creepy movements becoming of a proper Xenomorph.
Watch the video below to see how Obsidian’s animations were shaping up:

I don't get it.
WHY? An aliens rpg would have been wonderful.
This would've been great. I can picture it having the Xenomorph life cycle. An Alien game needs that.
Is there more? Loved the animation...I want more.
The animations looked pretty good. Too bad it got cancelled.
Wow, pretty good look'in.
I really hate when footage of cancelled games gets released. I can't help but get depressed about what could have been.
Ah, what might have been!
This is better than the entirety of Colonial Marines.
That would have probably been better than Colonial marines
It's missing hilarious T-Rex movement.
I thought Rebellion got the Aliens' animation right as well in Aliens vs. Predator (2010).
Huh....
