Fan Made Zelda Art Imagines Link In The Middle Of A War

Link does a lot of battling in every Zelda game, but never quite at this scale.

The imaginative piece comes from artist Tyler Edlin, who has a whole collection of interesting video game art. You can check out his gallery of work by heading here.

  • Its cool, but I doubt there would ever be a Zelda game like that.
  • Nice....

  • ^Basically 1/4 of the Zelda fanfiction out there.

  • Zelda meets Dynasty Warriors.

  • That's pretty cool.

  • His art ranges from "wow, amazing" to "it's ok."
  • I like it.

  • That's sweet.

  • Hahaha! He made Ponyo!

  • I really want something like this to happen in Zelda.

  • Mod
This is what that scene in LotR:Return of the King should have been like.
  • I wouldn't mind playing a game like that.

  • Eh.
  • One can dream...

  • Link's green getup looks weird when he is surrounded by sliver knights. Other then that, nice fan art.

  • This is sweeet. I hope the New Legend of Zelda series puts Link in a war.

  • Well, Nintendo did say that they're rebuilding the Zelda formula for Zelda Wii U, and I personally think it would be really cool for there to be a war. I can easily see it fitting in and still being a Zelda game, and it would mix up the formula of it being Link's job to save the world all by himself. There are several possibilities of how Link could take part in a war. It could be the who Kingdom of Hyrule is at war with an invading force (being led by the big bad, be that Gannondorf or a new guy like Zant) and Link gets dragged into it. There could be a civil-war (kind of like the one in Skyrim), and Link has to choose a side, therefore giving the game two endings (though this one is a little less Zelda-like). Or, there is a war breaking out in Hyrule because of whatever the big-bad is up to, and Link has to simultaneously prevent a full scale war and stop the big-bad from fulfilling his evil plan. While there would be war battles and tons of stuff like that to do, I can still see there being plenty reason for Link to go lone wolf at times to do his own quest that is related but separate from the actual war. Just some thoughts
  • Beautiful.

  • If Nintendo ever retires the Zelda series, this is how they should end it.
