The lights are on
A set of screenshots reportedly taken from an alpha build of a Kinect-only Gears of War real-time strategy game have surfaced on the Internet.
The screens show a top-down view of what appears to be a squad of four soldiers led by Baird. One screen implies that the mission shown is a defensive scenario, asking players to "hold out until help arrives."
VGleaks.com, the source of the images, reports that players control the squad of four by tracing the path they want their soldiers to take by tracing a line with a finger.
Nothing about the shots seems obviously fake, other than their overall low quality – which can be explained away by the site's claim that they're taken from an early video presentation. Microsoft and Epic have yet to respond to the leak, and are unlikely to given the fact that both companies invariably reply with a blanket refusal to comment on any rumors or speculation, but we'll be sure to update the story if anything comes of it.

I would play this. Really, I would play just about any new RTS these days, since they are such a dying breed.
A kinect only RTS... I'm going to have nightmares...
This just looks weird.. I got no clue if this is a good weird or bad.
Great news, RTS games are awesome.
This could be an interesting idea if the rumors about Durango coming with a Kinect 2.0 are true. I would like to see it more in the vain of Halo Wars though, on a little bit of a grander scale rather than focusing on a squad.
Might be related to Gears of War: Exile, that canceled Kinect project.
Gears of War: Exile maybe?
There have been rumors of this for a while now right? I would definitely be interested in checking it out. Halo Wars was a success afterall. Kinect-only though? Bleh >.>
This does bring Halo Wars to mind... I was skeptical there, and it proved me wrong...
A kinect only RTS? Why does this sound like an Armored Assault level of fail?
Halo Wars anybody?
