The lights are on
Update: New Leaf trailer shows some of the activities in the new 3DS title.
Nintendo showed off the latest Animal Crossing game, New Leaf, during its Nintendo Direct presentation. It includes a host of upgraded and new features to the game
Players won't have to worry about working to pay off Tom Nook's loan, which GameCube vets know is a huge relief. Players will have to plant a memorial tree, but Nintendo's Bill Trinen says that's the only real obligation players will face.
Social interaction is an even bigger part of the game, and players won't have to lug around memory cards to do so. Instead, the 3DS Street Pass functionality is used to make the process of downloading and visiting friends' homes and towns easier.
New Leaf also allows players to customize the exterior of their homes and expand (and share) their wardrobes of custom clothing and patterns.
Look for the game this June.

I never played Animal Crossing until the Wii one came out, and man was it fun. Day one purchase for me!!
It's not fun unless you're putting mafia don Tom Nook in the ground.
this is my gaming guilty pleasure.
June can't come fast enough.
I don't care who you are, Animal Crossing is for ALL ages!
I can't wait for this!! It looks awesome!!
This game seems pretty awesome. As someone who has played the Wii and Gamecube Animal Crossings, I'm looking forward to this one.
The first Animal Crossing was my favorite, but the later versions to me are okay.
Hooray!! One of my most anticipated 3DS game for some reason =p
Yeah, I really can't wait for this game. At least they have a release month now! ^_^
Im hoping for a good e3 this year.
