Update: Last week, Sega piqued interests with a teaser website that featured merely fantastical backdrops, leaving many to wonder and investigate possibilities. Wonder no more, though, because now the teasing has commenced and it's a free-to-play MOBA/RTS called Chaos Heroes Online for PC.

For more information, you can check out the official site that now features much more than just pretty backdrops. Busty anime vixens now paint the backdrop, so click with caution.

How do you feel about the reveal?

Sega Japan launched a teaser site for an announcement on February 12.

So far the details are cryptic with not much to go off of other than three fantastical backdrops. At least they're gorgeous and we don't have to wait too long for the reveal on the 12th.

What do you think they're teasing? Let's hope it's something that has a chance of coming over to our shores.

Well, it looks like an RPG. There are a couple of flying dragons and open spaces with floating islands... Maybe Panzer Saga2 or Skies of Arcadia 2..... That would be nice as well as a Phantasy Star... I bet it is for 3DS.

Whatever it is, I'm bracing for disappointment. Sega has every opportunity in the world to announce something that we care about, something that would be successful, but they almost never do - they're almost as bad as Square like that. Or worse, they announce a Japan-only offshoot of what we want, for PSP or GREE or something.

Occasionally, they announce a great game that comes out here, like their Platinum-developed titles, or Valkyria Chronicles, the Cave, End of Eternity (I forget what it was called here in the West), or Sonic Generations/Sonic All Stars Racing, so they're not totally hopeless. But they do screw up a lot. And they also don't support those games with a good ad campaign, so they tend to disappoint at retail anyway. Meanwhile, they'll advertise any old shooter, like Aliens, or the Conduit or something. Sega is a terrible publisher.

I would LOVE for the Valkyria Chronicles team - the PS3 one, not the guys who handled the PSP games (like Media Vision) - to announce a new game. Or a sequel to VC. Or a sequel to Skies of Arcadia (which is from the same guys I think). That would be great! But I don't expect that here.

Rumors say they are ready to announce this year's Sonic game in February. So maybe this art for Sonic Adventure 3? That actually would not be a disappointment... even if I DO want news on a new Valkyria game...

Would be awesome if reveal was indeed a new console...even though i highly doubt it.
