Brutal Legend Headbangs Its Way To PC

Update: Today, Double Fine announced that its metal epic Brutal Legend is now available for sale on Steam. Just head over to the game's Steam page, and, for $19.99, you can start rockin'.

----------------------------------------

Double Fine Productions is releasing Brutal Legend onto PC and you can pre-order the franchise for just $14.99, 25% off the original release price. Those who have pre-ordered the game receive special privileges like immediate access to the multiplayer beta and two Team Fortress 2 items.

"Adding a PC release to Brütal Legend's list of conquests risks raising the world's ambient Metal saturation to dangerously high levels," jokes Double Fine President Tim Schafer, "which is why we're conducting this closed beta test for preorders."

You can preorder the game on the Steam webpage and get more information on the game at the official Brutal Legend website

  • I may buy this just to support it. That game is just... so awesome. I really hope they make a sequel one day.
  • But... why?
  • knowing that the original release of this was kinda overshadowed by other releases; hopefully this time around it will do great

*thinks of psychonauts* is it me or does double fine seem to be making a reputation of great games that are just overshadowed
  • Any Brutal Legend news is good news.
  • this was the first game i got with my PS3. picked up Brutal Legend and Fallout 3. plowed through Brutal Legend in two days. have yet to get past the first two hours of Fallout. judge me. now.
  • awesome!!! i loved this game soooooo freaking much, it was the best double fine game since phyconauts and it sucks so much that they are not going to make a secound one :( but this awesome that it will be out on pc defiantly getting it!

  • Better late than never, I guess.

  • Is one game really considered a "franchise"?
  • Next up: Steam Spring Sale - 95% off Brutal Legend!

  • This game was great. I had a really good time with it.

  • YES!!!

  • Assuming it's a good port, I'll definitely pick this up, since I never played it, despite being interested in it; plus I'd be supporting Double Fine, which is always cool.

  • Umm they're a little late
  • that game is so old....why..why now.

  • That rocks.

  • Why would anyone who is PC only want this game? I could see someone buying Psychonauts because it's more convenient than on Xbox, but there's really no reason for this. Double fine is weird.

Edit: In other news, this game is awesome and I love that they are doing this.
  • I loved this game on 360! Jack Black is too awesome to NOT want to play as

  • "For just $14.99, 25% off the original release price." What did Brutal Legend originally retail for? Because that sentence means it was only $20 to start off at... Unless you mean 25% of the original price, which seems more reasonable... :P
  • Shame for PC fans that these versions take so darn long to come out. . .
  • That's cool, I actually really liked this game.
