The lights are on
Aliens: Colonial Marines released today, and like most modern releases, it has already received a hefty patch.
You can check out the patch notes for each of Aliens: Colonial Marines' releases by clicking these links. Here's the list for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. It fixes a lot of specific problems across the board, like making sure bullets pass through open doors, and that Russian players can enter co-op games in certain missions.

With all of the problems I've read about ACM, this seems like they were working on the patch pre-release instead of the actual game.
No amount of patching can fix this.
Man, I was so bummed by this game, being a gamer and an Aliens fan. I actually plowed through work yesterday so I can rush home and play it...after an hour, I basically went to bed early.
Even though this game has scored low on reviews my friends still enjoy it. I'm thinking about getting the demo.
I caved and bought it on the PC, it really isn't that terrible. I've been playing on the hardest difficulty. Not really a bunch of handholding or anything, no UI, non regenerating health. Pretty tough. AI definitely seems to be smarter cause they know where you are, but not to the point of it being to OP.
Does it alter the review at all? :p I was really hoping this game would be awesome. I knew better, but I was hoping. Hell if I had the money, I was going to buy it on the spot. Glad I waited.
It may be February, but I'm sure this'll be kept in mind for a spot on the Most Disappointing List for this year.

bullets that dont pass through open doors!? Man this game really fell through. How do testers and dev teams miss something like that? Maybe in 5 years someone else will try again and get it right.
