The lights are on
The well-known Ubisoft developer is objecting to the delay of the Wii U version of the anticipated game.
In a photo obtained by Eurogamer, Michel Ancel poses with other members of the Ubisoft Montpellier development team of Rayman Legends, holding a sign that reads (in French) “Release Rayman. Support Ubisoft Montpellier.”
The public show of disconnect between the Montpellier developer and its parent publisher comes several days after an unnamed developer from the studio posted online about the team’s frustration with the game's delay. Having put in countless hours of crunch and overtime to complete the game, the team is unhappy about the decision to hold off another several months on release in order to have a day one release that includes the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game. Ubisoft responded with plans to release an exclusive demo of the game to Wii U players, but not the full release.
We’re reaching out to Ubisoft regarding Ancel’s posted photos, and we’ll update this story with any response.

This is very sad for the development team.... bad leaders can really ruin your work....
That poster wasn't unnamed.
I really hope that this works. I'm so mad that Ubisoft decided to delay a COMPLETED game, so, if this can help get them to change their minds, i'll be happy.
Ohhhh......kay... :(
Come on Ubisoft...just release the Wii U version now and get it over with!
I'm hoping that all of this backlash will basically force Ubisoft (strictly from a PR perspective) to release the Nintendo version at the specified date. I, like everybody else, will be MUCH too busy during the fall months with the other video game releases to pick up Legends. I mean Wind Waker HD will be out, plus I will already have: Bayonetta 2, Wonderful 101, Monster Hunter Ultimate, Lego City: Undercover, and Pikmin 3...that's not even mentioning all the PS3/PC/360 games I will probably get. I will just end up never buying it or getting it when it's like $10.
