The lights are on
BioWare's Mass Effect Facebook page has been updated with a prototype picture of Risk: Mass Effect, a new board game from USAopoly. The set is due out in the fall. No game details have been released at this point, but I guessing the piece colors won't be limited to just blue, red, and green.
USAopoly is also releasing board game adaptations of numerous other video game product, including Trivial Pursuit: World of Warcraft, Risk: Plants vs. Zombies, Yahtzee: Pac-Man, and Jenga: Space Invaders. The company's back catalog is loaded with game properties. You can pick up Risk: Starcraft, Risk: Metal Gear Solid, Risk: Halo, Risk: Halo Wars, Monopoly: Sonic the Hedgehog, Monopoly: World of Warcraft, Checkers: Super Mario, and Monopoly: Street Fighter right now.

Council vs Reapers?
As I think about this more, I want XCOM Risk more than Mass Effect Risk.
i haven't played risk in a long time might have to pick this up
As a long time Risk player I can say these games change the overall dynamic very little and Risk remains the snooze it always was. It was fun in middle school but once you've played amazing games like Ticket to Ride and other German style board games you feel the lack of basic game design in American style games like Risk and Monopoly
No surprise. There's a Risk and Monopoly edition for everything. Still, a heck of a cool theme for Risk. Wonder who gets to be the flag. . .
